Looking to get the Eibach kit and a rear sway bar. Who would like to help in the Peoria area or would you recommend I have do the install in the area?
Someone who knows that they're doing, of course. Thanks! -------------------- ... she likes bein' forced ...

I literally did my springs in less than an hour. I had the guy at autozone time me from the time I rented the spring compressors to the time I returned them and it was 50 something minutes. Even cooler was that my half ass way of marking the suspension earned me a perfect alignment once everything was done. The guy at the shop couldn't believe I was able to get it so good.
The sway was a little tougher since I had to bandage up my thumb and after that only work with one hand. Stupid mistake made the job not too much fun, but I still managed to make my axleback in the process. Anyways, I'd be willing to help you out on the job, but I won't be back in Peoria until the following weekend if you can wait that long. Which sway bar are you going with? If you're interested in a new full APS exhaust I can get you a deal from a local shop up here too. -------------------- my cars breath smells like car food

Certainly if I accept any help from EITHER of you I'll need to ... watch my back, eh? No bending over to pick up tools...
It won't be this weekend nor next, that's for sure. Perhaps something we could line up on a weekend when you're here Kris and we could all talk "Evo"...? *Laugh* -------------------- ... she likes bein' forced ...

Oh, and Kris, get me info on the APS, eh? so I can look it up. RnR seems to have dried up although I've not called 'em direct as yet.
And Nate, the beer's NOT a problem. *Laugh* -------------------- ... she likes bein' forced ...

OK, nevermind the APS info Kris. Just ordered RMR's 3" w/Magnaflow and their 3" O2 housing. We may have alot to install.
Why don't you guys PM me an e-mail address so we can work out an install date at least for the springs and sway - and a compensating good time as well! -------------------- ... she likes bein' forced ...

Count me in on the install, if I can make it. Also, if there are any specific tools you will need, let me know a bit in advance so I can bring them home. Where do you plan on doing the work? Is there an air compressor?

Damn, my bad, that's RnR's 3" TBE...
Anyway, I was hopin' to compensate with somethin' to do at my place which makes my garage the logical choice. Was hopin' Kris would be down so it's dependent on his schedule. I don't have an air compressor - at least not yet. Would be nice for all the tire changin' eh? I think my floor jack's inadequate as it doesn't really lift enough to put in the jack stands - of which I only have 2. So, some prep sounds like it's in order. Then again, this may only be the springs kit and swaybar... *Shrug* I'll try to keep this thread posted I guess. -------------------- ... she likes bein' forced ...

If you are interested, and give me a bit of notice, I can bring a 30 gallon compressor and air tools. Impact wrenches make everything go so much smoother.
For exhaust work, I typically prefer ramps. Enough room to work, very safe. The suspension can be done very easily, literally a 30 minute job for the springs with good tools. If the sway bar is anything like the one's I've done, that's probably a 15-45 minute job. For the exhaust work, it would be a good idea to spray all the fasteners with penetrating lube the day before the job. Makes it all easier. I'm confident we could have it all done in 2-3 hours, and catch a decent buzz in the process. ![]() -------------------- 2009 Scion Tc

If we can agree on a date, you're welcome to bring it out to my place, Kazz. Heated garage and any tool we'd need to get the job done including an air compressor. You'd still have to rent some spring compressors from autozone though.

internet was down yesterday....damn
I wish you had waited on that RNR. I was going to try to talk you into an aps exhaust. Honestly though, I think the 3" 02 housing is a waste of $150. Our 02's flow so well from the factory its definately not a bottleneck as was the case on the 1g's and 2g's dsm's. Anywho, things seem to be working out that I'll be located in the B/N area in the near future, so my schedule may not be a problem at all. At the present time, next weekend will do nicely for me. -------------------- my cars breath smells like car food

I'm outta town next weekend. If you'd have seen the deal on the 3"/magnaflow/O2 you'd not complain, I promise. Worst case I can just sell it when I get the '05 turbo and IT'S housing... heh (I can dream, right?).
I hope the move back is a good thing, keep me posted. -------------------- ... she likes bein' forced ...

yeah, funny thing is I got an offer from a company that wanted me located in Bloomington of all places. Weird. So I'm thinking about it a lot.
I know those RNR's are quite a deal, no doubts there. It's amazing just how affordable they're making the stuff for the 8's. Personally though, I'm going with the APS peice since they're unquestionable quality, and it's through a local brick and mortar who is very interested in obtaining a larger footprint in the 8 market. I wasn't aware, but APS offers a 3.5" full exhaust for the car as well at a pretty affordable price considering the rarity or materials and quality of the entire unit. I'm definately looking forward to helping you install your exhaust though since it's the same one I had my purty little heart set on up untill about last week. -------------------- my cars breath smells like car food

The 3.5 is a waste unless you're going to engine mods someday, I'm told.
Keep us posted on the Bloomington thing and your schedule to get down here whenever after next week. Good luck! -------------------- ... she likes bein' forced ...
