it normally occurs from what i read at about 50-60k miles, but since its a design defect it can happen at any time. The price doesnt sound bad for a 2g AWD, Kou motorsports can do a 6 bolt swap for you though, then your good to go biggthumpup.gif

Edit: Here is the link for the info on crankwalk

This is the only cure and preventative maintenance for crankWalk http://www.magnusmotorsports.com/article_1g2g.htm this is the article we used to put the 6 bolt in ours.

Crankwalk can occur at any time. My advice, change your oil religously and learn what the symptoms are so that before it does go, you can try to salvage any good parts.

Ahh, you have just helped me to live another day.

You are running the gambit, it's hit or miss. No one can tell you if you will or won't get hit with the dreaded crankwalk.

I agree with super 16g. The swap is the only preventative cure...lol.

But, there are several 2g's out there that have made thus far with no problems.

I've seen some 2G's go as far as 150k miles without any problems. Others I've seen only go 30k miles and walk it. It's a silent killer.
