he has both just want's to turn his FWD into an AWD since it runs better, I thought I read some where that all the mounting point were there ( on the FWD ) so it was a bolt on mod for the most part, but can't find anything on it.

that wouldn't happen the FWD is much nicer than the AWD,

I'm searching this for Adam, so you know what both of his cars look like

The FWD to AWD in a 1G would be a major PITA since you have to relocate the gas tank, cut out the spare tire holder, and do much much more fabricating.

The FWD to AWD in a 2G however, is not all that hard. Basically, you need an AWD donor car and some other minor parts. It's only a minor PITA. There is also a guy on www.dsmtuners.com that has done an AWD swap into a Spyder but that's a whole new level of fabrication since the rear suspension is totally different than the regular FWD coupe cars.

The 1g's are defnately NOT a bolt in swap to convert to AWD. Chassis are totally different. If he's serious, tell him to buy a nice welder, a torch, and a nice AWD car... once he figures out how hard it is, he'll have the AWD ready to go... laugh.gif
