I understand what you mean about the upgrade thing and I already took that policy out of the picture. That is the main reason I started boosted4gracing, is because i know that most dsm's are not in the best physical appearance. Most of the dsm cars around are fast and in the process of becoming faster. We could use dsm central as our chat line, a place to help each other out, and to do the other things that are done on the site. I figured since there might be a start to the DSM car shows, more and more get togethers, and many more members that we could be called Boosted4Gracing and maybe use DSM Central as a type of sponsor. My whole goal with the club is to sound more intimidating towards other clubs and it also would make more since why most of the cars are fast, but are not in the best condition. I know that dsm central is a club already but this could be our way of comunication with each other and boosted4gracing be the actual club name. My friend and I are going on friday to get polo shirts made to wear at the strip and any get togethers we attend. My shirt will state the names boosted4gracing and dsm central together along with other things.

No offense, but I think I speak for everyone here when I say, "No thanks!" DSMcentral has been around since 2000. We're not about to change our "club" name to boosted4gracing. We all get along well, we have a good time hanging out, bullshitting, racing, and helping each other out. The last thing on our priority list is "being more intimidating to other clubs". We are performance focused for our own reasons - mainly excelling at personal and group successes, and an all around addiction to acceleration, speed, handling, etc. I think I can confidently say most of us are past the whole "my nuts are bigger than yours" mentality. Again, no offense. smile.gif

I agree Nate. DSMCentral is unlike almost any other site I've ever seen. I think messing with it, or trying to merge it with another group only spells major touble. Anyone is welcome to join, learn, contribute, and bs from time to time, but I think it needs to grow and evolve on it's own. biggthumpup.gif

Yeah, this whole idea of usin the years and years of friendship and collective hard work that has made DSMCentral the great machine that it is... as a stepping stone to your "real" club is pretty much bullshit. mad.gif I agree fully with Nate, and I'm not trying to start a fight, I just don't really care if I offend you with my opinion or not.

You go ahead and do what you want to do for your club, but don't expect the highly respected and intelligent members that peruse this board to bow down to anything except our DSMs and Evos (and occasional wife). I don't give a damn if I'm part of the baddest club this side of the mississippi. What matters to me is that fine individuals like Spy, Kicks, AWD DSM, and Natedogg bending over backwards to help me while I'm out of town with a busted car. I want a club that allows me to casually share a beer in a dirty garage with some of the most mechanically intelligent people I've ever come across.

That, sir, is what makes our puny little club absolutely BADASS!!!!! biggthumpup.gif biggthumpup.gif biggthumpup.gif

you guys are straight up whack! my boy trey is offering you all the chance of a lifetime and you're too proud to take it. You just don't know how it is on the street. I think you're all out of touch with how it is when you get down on the street. You need an intimidating club like the icy hot stuntaz from boosted 4g to have your back when the other clubs be rollin up like they all hard and shiz.

I'm taking windell, rantis, and anyone else with a little flava and seceeding from the DSMCentral union to join the true killaz from boozted. AWWWWWW JEEEAAAZ!

In case you guys can pull your heads out of each others asses long enough to finish reading this post, maybe I'll point out a few of the obvious benefits to joining the boosted crew.

1. waaaaay better name. c'mon boosted is cool and racing is cooler so putem' together and you've got raw hotness

2. potential to branch off and start a sub-club like boosted4Gdrifting

3. near certainty of sponsorship for all your modification needs

4. chicks. import car clubs have plenty of hot asian snatch around at all time. unless you're gay this is a good thing naturally.

5. car shows. if there's one realm of vehicle performance that dsm's have yet to break into its the car show scene and it's a given that they would dominate. I mean companies are even makign altezza tailights for our cars now. with that kind of eye candy arsenal how could a dsm possibly loose? it's inconceivable.

6. when you're in a club like boosted you never roll alone. it's always cooler to show up to an event in synchronized perfection and then pop out the m-f'er with custom emblazoned rags sportin' the boozted crew graffix. ssssshhhheeeeaaaat, you know them suckas ain't see that comin'!!!!!! respeck!!!!!!!

What---eva...I'm done with all you trill ass fools. me and trey is gonna go make history, sooooo SEEEEE YAAAAA!!!!!!

I'm not sure either what that guy is saying, but I respect that all you guys want to keep the dsm central name and from here on out Ill leave it alone. Although I do want to join with your club also. If thats alright with you guys. I have yet to make a garage about my ride but I can give alittle info:
1991 eclipse gsx 144000 miles ( Adam Le's old car )
(finally got the money to order the motor) JDM 4G63T motor and tranny
walbro 255 f-pump
f-pump rewire kit
prothane motor mount kit
custom gauge pod
I have yet to get rims (rolling on 2 steelies and 2 2g )
full interior
custom made trunk floor since adam or who ever cut it out to get to the fuel pump easier
coilovers
Soon to have wish list:
bigger turbo
gm maf and trans
injectors
front mount
shift linkage bearing kit (to replace the bushings)
and a few other things but i dont want to bore anyone.

I should have all this and a fresh paint job by april. My cousin paints cars and is gonna hook me up with a paint job.

I have one question... Why? You realize the JDM motors are exactly the same as the US spec, save a valve cover and what most belive to be a crappier intake, don't you? I'd save whatever you're spending on the JDM, and build yourself a forged bottom end.

Also, be careful about those wheels. you'll end up tearing up the center diff because the wheels have different rolling diameters, thus making them spin at different speeds. Good way to shread a tranny.

You're more than welcome on this site! biggthumpup.gif

Welcome to the DSM world. It will take all your $$. It will inevitably cost you your sanity, etc. But one small hint... Get the car running right before you start changing variables. The car can go 12s with race gas and the stock turbo, it has been done many times. And trust me... I'm not sure what cars you have owned in the past, but a 12sec AWD can be quite a handful. Also, I second AWD DSM on the JDM engine thing. You'll learn that on a DSM, JDM means nothing. Except extra $$. The best engine I've ever had is the one in my FWD. It's a dead-stock NA from a 1g GS Non-turbo. Has held 26+ psi from a 20g for 6 months, and before that it took 21psi from a 14b for quite awhile. Cost me $500.
