I wondering how do you clean a set of injectors? I'm running a borrowed set of 450's and would like to clean the set that came on the new AWD so I can return the borrowed set.

Best bet is to send them off so they can be cleaned AND balanced (so they all flow evenly). I know awd4kicks has had a couple sets done, as I'm sure a lot of others around have.

I'm interested as well. I'm sure mine haven't ever been cleaned.

There are a number of places that do this work inexpensively. Just search the web and look for one that fit's your needs.

RC Engineering does it for $24-$28 apiece it looks like and has a three day turnaround if you ship overnight.
At $100 for all four, it's a hard decision. Hard because it's either pay $100 to get them cleaned and balanced (which I'll never get out of them) or pay $150 more for the set that I need to put the setup on it that I want. I think I'd rather wait until next month and I can buy a set of bigger injectors, a fuel pump, and a fuel pressure regulator. For someone that's not seeing 95%+ injector duty out of the stock injectors it'd be a good investment. -------------------- "I hear he tunes the space shuttle also...and that thing is fast"

^^^ thats the route I went when mine were in need of clean/repair... I picked up a set of 550's, unfortunately I wish I had gone a little bigger yet...
the good thing was that I sold my old ones on ebay and got over $100 for them -------------------- You CAN sleep in your car, but your CAN NOT race your house!!!

If you search a little more you can get it doen quite a bt cheaper than $100. I've often seen $60 and I believe the last time I found someone to service the injectors for $40 or $50. I'll check my records.
