Anyone know a site where I can order a torque damper for my car. Ive searched and the only site I can get is www.Stillen.com. Ive looked on dsmparts and they dont have them. I need to buy one to help with me wheel hop. Please let me know if you guys know of any more sites.

Thanks

Do you have a limited slip diff and equal length halfshafts already? I'm not an expert, but it's my understanding that those are the desired parts to cure what ails you.

I do have a LSD, but i think the shafts are stock. I know that those help but I would like to get one just to be sure and also to relieve alot of stress from the motor mounts.

or use a cutting board and do it DIY style. You really only need to do the front mount too. Window weld or polyurethane caulk works just fine in the trans and timing belt side mounts. In fact, I used all solid mounts in my GSX for a very short time. It was unbearable and unless you plan on using safety wire on all the bolts on the engine, very dangerous.

I have polyurethane mounts, just have yet to install the last two. I was told by an enthusiast on a different site to by dampers to relieve all stress from the motor.

that makes absolutely no sense whatsover. did you ask that guy if he gives his motors rubdowns after dyno pulls? I've heard that really gets the tension out.....

Hey asiankid91, can you post up a picture. I'm curious to see what the cutting board deal looks like.

that's not what I was talking about with the cutting board style. I burned the rubber bushing out, then cut discs from the cutting board with the correct diameter and banged them in place. Then I drilled a hole through the center for the steel cylinder and finally, to secure the 3 or so 3/8" boards together, I drilled a hole and put lag bolts clamping them together. It's pretty much a solid mount for all effective purposes.

^^^^That sounds like a better idea. I didn't like just wedging a few pieces in the open section of the existing mount. Miami, was that hard to get the dimensions and angle of the inner steel sleeve location right on?
