The other day i was coming home from work. I was on the interstate curseing and went to get off on my exit and my car woulent down shift or go in to any gear at all. So i sat their pumping my clutch. Then i jamged it in to 2 and crused home. so the next night it did the same thing. I went out to go buy a new slave Cylinder (i have a biger push rod in) and put it in and drove around for a wile and that worked for a lil bit then i got home and was looking under my dash and saw that their was brake fluid leaking out of the master Cylinder .So i repaced that and it was working just fine so i went out to get my hair cut and pay some bills and get gas and then thats when it messed up again. so i was stuck at the gas stas, so i shut the car off and press the clutch in and put it in to first and start it, it wants to take off then after i do that it will go in to gear fine for a wile this is realy pissing me off and the onlything i can think of its the throwout bearing. sometimes it make noise it a xtd stage 3 race clutch 6 pud. I was just wondering if any of u guys ran in to this problem.

LOL, despite that being the most erronous spelling post I've ever seen, I actually understood it. Yes, it very well could be your throw out bearing. Did you put a new one in when you did the clutch? Midwest DSM had the same problem with his old 90, the TOB froze and would not move. Even if you put a new one on, you're supposed to lube the input shaft with bearing grease so that it gets a smooth disengagement every time. Looks like that transmission's gotta come out. Sorry bud.

Then you can make the laser a dd and the awd your race car. Besides even your dd is going to be modified, you cant leave anything alone.

I had a similar problem with less exagerated symptoms one time. I didn't find the cause until my GVR4 first gear blew up though. When I pulled the transmission I found that the center section of my ACT2600 had come apart (two separate metal discs and all the springs). That wasn't so bad. The fact that it screwed up my throwout bearing slide tube WAS a big deal. That tube the throwout bearing slides on is an intregal part of the bell housing and half of the transmission case. So I had to trash my transmission, use what parts I could salvage and start over with another. That's when I got the 93 transmission.

So if your problem is just a throwout bearing, consider that it could have been worse. wink.gif

well today i pulled the tranny and the throw out bearing was just fine. so i was looking at the pressure plate and i saw a lil spring siting in their. so i took it off and all of the springs had some wear and about to fall out. So thats why it wouldent go in to gear the spring was in the way of the pressure plate. man i hate my car so i got to send it back off to cal and wait for like 3 weeks. any one have a stock clutch and pressure plate??
