Aww, look at the members complain about the free advertising space. rolleyes.gif

You know guys, we don't have to have an exchange or a for sale forum at all. Kicks is generous enough to let us use his bandwidth paid for with his own hard earned cash to sell our stuff for free. Quitchyerbitchin!

ohh i'm sorry... i thought the opinions of the users was actually wanted and valued... i thought you guys might actually like some feedback... but i guess ya want only the good feedback. rolleyes.gif

and nate, kiss my ass! you act as though we are ingrates. i know what marcus does. i've been here long enough to realize and be grateful for his efforts. perhaps we all dont thank him enough, but that doesnt seem like a very good argument. i dont even know why there is an argument. perhaps if i posted a smartass remark.. but i didnt, therefore i dont feel i deserve a smartass reply from a moderator.

Struck a nerve, did I? Chill out. We are well aware of your opinion of the exchange Scrapin. You've repeated it many times now. Repeating it more is not feedback anymore, its bitching. Now if you have any suggestions on how to improve it we're all ears.

Otherwise, watch your mouth or "I'ma slap you with my pimp cane, Bitch!" cool.gif

nope... i was merely making a point.

i have not repeated myself many times. in the 2 threads regarding this matter, i have posted a total of 4 times. 1 making a suggestion that was overlooked by the majority. 1 agreeing with someone elses post. 1 in this thread stating my problems with the exchange. and 1 replying to you. this 1 makes 5. i dont believe i repeated myself anywhere.
i posted my suggestion, it was ignored. why should i continue to make suggestions if they are not considered or even addressed by the decision makers?

bring it woman!

We appreciate your suggestion, and it has not gone unnoticed. I'm sure when 99Spyder finds some free time to devote, he can look into it to see if its feasible, if he hasn't already. Though, after all he's done for us, I'd have a hard time asking for more.

Beers to 99Spyder for committing his time to improve our forum in so many ways. You've done a helluva job! I gotsta hook you up wit some for real beers sometime, mang.

I totally agree with you on the mystery emails. Unfortunately, it is not an easy change and is going to take a few days of free time to find the right part of the code. I will post here again when its fixed.

After quite a few hours of digging around I have finally found the elusive email subject setting. Emails from Exchange when contacting a seller will now carry the subject: DSMCentral Exchange - Ad Interest

What happened to my ads?

I lost one a couple of weeks ago. And I lost the remaining 3 of my open ads today.

I renewed 2 of them this past week, so that's not it.

It's not a huge deal, but I had a hit on one of them on 5/13, and I can't remember the price I set.

I had a similar thing happen to some of my ads that I renewed. I let Spyder know through PM. He's looking into it.

A couple of weeks ago I moved the "expire after" setting up to 60 days. We had initially intended on having it at 60 days but it was accidently set to 6 months. After the change a lot of older ads were removed and possibly even some that were renewed mad.gif .

In an attempt to correct this I have changed the expiration option to a user selectable one. Upon creating a new ad you will have the option of running your ad for 2 weeks, 1 month, or 2 months. The hope is that this option will not be over-run by the potentially fatal expiration setting. As a further measure, I will also be creating a new ad and testing the renew feature to see if it updates the database properly.

Sorry for the inconveniences and please report any additional occurrences.
