Saturday, around lunchtime, I'm helping my father-in-law side his new garage. My wife comes out and asks what we want for lunch... (ummm food?!?) anyway, she hops in the van, and begins to back out of the driveway. I should explain that this driveway is a nasty one. You have to back up a hill and around 15 degree turn before cranking it to turn around down the lane. I had parked my truck and trailer off to the side at the top of the hill... (some of you may have figured this out by now). She backs up the hill and as she cranks it to turn around... THUMP! I snap my head to look up the drive, and there she is, at the top of the hill right in front of my truck... "She didn't" Yep, she did... I now am the owner of a 2002 yellow S-10 with a nice dent in the front bumper, and a cracked air dam. Didn't do sh!t to the van...

Her dad immediately commenced ripping her a new one, so I figured I'd lay low and be the good, supporting husband. That didn't really work. She immediately went into defensive mode, blaming me for parking at the top of the hill and that I was asking to be hit... Whatever... it's a bright yellow truck. One glance in the mirror would have avoided the whole incident.

Here's to always being the bad guy...

Ouch man! but it even happens to the best of us at times! God knows I have done some dumb shit know all I had to do was think just a littel more!

WTB: is the front bumber just bent, or did she bumb the quarter panel? I bent the front bumber on my s-10 (Tree moved right in my way) and baught a new one from a guy in Tremont and had it painted for $280.00 then I put in on myself. had to bend back on arm bracket, but it did the trick!

Kristy called for a price on the air dam, it's about $70. Bumper will probably have to live with a dent. I'm gonna buff the scuffs out of it though. Shouldn't be too noticeable... I hope! :?
