hey guys.... don't cheap out when doing a job... that is what I have learned recently....

when I put my trans in my car... I discovered that the wheel bearing on the drivers side was not good... but not quite bad.... I decided that I should just clean up and repack the old bearing... turns out that was a bad idea... a couple of weeks ago when driving I started hearing some squeeling coming from my left front... thinking that it was nothing major (due to not much sound) I wrote it off as a brake dust shield scraping.... turns out that as a couple of days went by it got worse and worse... I decided to put the car back on the rack, discovering once again that my wheel bearing was close to seizing up... wow!!!!

so tonight I pulled the steering knuckle out of the car so that I could press in a new bearing ($35.00 + seals).... I tore the boot on my tie rod end that was also installed with the trans ($26.00).... and had to cut out my ball joint ($30.00).... cause that sombitch just wouldn't come out no matter how much I beat that separator in there....

so to save my self a few buck I have now caused myself a world of problems and over $90 in parts...

moral of the story... don't cheap out on parts
