'91-94 engines as they are six bolt engines and can bolt right onto the 5-speed 2.0 liter mighty max transmission.

QUOTE (mitsu90 @ Sep 6 2006, 03:48 PM) '91-94 engines as they are six bolt engines and can bolt right onto the 5-speed 2.0 liter mighty max transmission. for one, the six bolts were made from 1990 to may of 1992. for two, there is absolutely no difference in the transmission bolt pattern from 1990 to 1999 in the 4g63 motors. If the six bolt with attach to it, then so will the seven bolt. As far as if the tranny from the might max will bolt up or not, I have no idea. I thought the mighty max had the 2.4 4g64 in it? -------------------- The fastest car I own is a minivan....

from 1990 on they had the 4g64 but the 89 and older had a 2.0

I thought Mitsu was refering to 91-94 Mighty Max transmissions, but I could have been wrong.
The only thing I remember about this that some if not all of the Mighty Max's came with 2.4 (Hence the reason I was reading this info) but that the truck or van's of these types have a slightly larger bell housing bolt pattern. like 13" instead of 12.5". I don't want to spread any misinformation so whoever is wanting to do this really needs to look into it deeper. -------------------- In Loving memory of David T Crebo

QUOTE I can tell you that it will bolt up if you have the narrow bolt pattern transmission (with the top two transmission bolts 110mm apart from each other). However here is a good read 4g63 swap -------------------- ┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐

Custom! Wherrys Welding and Driveshaft Fabrication has got you covered. Just as long as it isn't a multi-piece shaft you'll be alright.
