Guys
I picked up a pretty clean 1G Talon ES that, I believe, has a bad auto tranny. The car runs perfect, but when you shift it into D, it starts going, and then shifts into 2nd, but then never shifts out of 2nd. I havent given this issue any thought yet, but I figured while I'm bored at work, I'll throw the idea out if anyone has any suggestions. Worst case scenario I need to replace the tranny. I noticed a seller on here has an AWD Auto tranny out of a 93 GSX for sale, and I remember back a few years ago when I owned a 92 AWD Auto. It needed a tranny, and I found a FWD auto tranny, and popped the casing off of it, only to find there's a hole normaly where the output shaft would be. I then pulled the output shaft out of the broken tranny, and put it into the hole I found. Voila everything worked perfect. Could I do the reverse procedure here w/luck?
