Check the oil again to make sure it's not milky.
By running it while it's in this overheating state, if it is a headgasket you're taking a chance of ruining the engine. If there's coolant in the crankcase, it'll ruin your bottom end letting it run like that. BEST THING TO DO is change the oil and do a compression test. I'm sure the new owner is going to want to know the results of a compression test if they buy it. -------------------- "I hear he tunes the space shuttle also...and that thing is fast"

Is the water pump moving water??
Take the rad cap off and see if water is flowing through the system, if not pump could be toast and only is moving water at higher rpms. -------------------- 92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD "The Black Golfball" How fast can a 14B go???

This may be obvious but if you perform black92_tsi_awd's suggestion make sure you do so on a cold engine or you could end up with some burns and a mess.

Definitely sounds like a blown headgasket but do a compression test to be sure. The coolant shouldn't bubble out. It should flow through the t-stat housing. Bubbling out makes me almost positive that you are losing combustion pressure into the water jacket through a blown headgasket.
