Anyone know if I can use a non-turbo 5spd tranny in my 90 FWD TSI? I can get the tranny cheap but I'm not sure how different the gearing is.

If the tranny is from a 2 liter non-turbo, then I believe you can use it.

ya, it's from a 2.0 liter. I just emailed TRE to see if they could help. I got the tranny for $250 so if it won't work or the gear ratio sucks I'll just put it back on Ebay. I can get a rebuilt from TRE for around $$1600 with a double synchro 2nd gear biggrin.gif ....more than I'd like to spend right now though.
