How much would you pay?? Options

OK. Neil has offered me his 91 TSI AWD for a damn good price. I posted on CII asking what people would pay for it and I got a bunch of stupid answers like $1500. Which is rediculous considering it bluebooks at over 3500 stock. What do you guys think??

Here is info on the car
-91 AWD Talon 5sp Blue, gray cloth,
-A/C works but will be needing a recharge some time
soon (still cold just starts to fade when it get real
hot)
-engine has about 30K on the bottom end
- New head and timing belt < 5K ago
-replace 14b turbo with JDM unit with 25K on it
Performacne Mods
- K&N filter with cut housing
- MAF modded
- balance shaft delete
- Ported 2g exhaust manifold
- Ported and enlarged flapper on turbo housing
- Ported EVO O2 sensor housing
- 3" Turbo Back Stainless Steel exhaust system
- Manual boost controler
- single gauge pod and boost gauge
- Walboro 255 lph intanke fuel pump
- new Sumitomo Z rated All seaons performance tires
225/50-16

Problems:
- 1st Gear synco grinding only on dowshift when coming
to a stop. I just wait to down shift to 1st after I
come to a stop.
- gas gauge works intermitently
- oil pressure gauge not working but dummy oli
pressure light still works
- some small oil leaks around turbo oil return tube

The exterior has some small rust spots and some dents
and dings and the paint is somewhat weathered.

The car is pretty quick, I would guess mid to high
13s.

Damn, I wouldn't have replied on CII if I had seen this first. I feel dirty when I post on that board and ashamed for browsing the forums.

They're classless bastards anyways who have no idea what a fine peice of ass like a 1G AWD is actually worth. KBB is dead wrong, these cars are priceless.

I agree with Kris, but I do try to pipe up and give some good advice once in a while. I think the general mentality on that site is "If it ain't Honda, It's CRAP!!!"

As I posted on CII, any runnning turbo DSM in good condition should be able to bring $3k. Some are looking for something specific, and if you have what they are looking for, value definately increases.

For an example... I know of a 93 FWD turbo with similar mods that the owner refused a $7k offer on...

Is it just me or has it been evolving more over the last year or so into a "dude, check out my carbon fiber front lip! Next mod is a big exhaust that isn't compatable with my ECU so I actually lose 6hp. But it sounds tiite and looks JDM yo!"

OK, I have to admit I'm a bit slanted towards an 'all business' car but I had to get it off my chest. Where did all the performance enthusiasts go on there? Maybe they just stopped posting. *self-righteous mode off*
