I have a chevy 3/4 ton 4x4. Last fall the fuel lines started leaking. I replaced all those and the brake lines are mounted in the same clip. Then of course the brake lines sprung leaks so i replaced all those. Mid summer i had a leak in the gas tank. So i got a tank from summit and put it on. I no more than got it out of the garge and two of the front brake lines started leaking. So i fix all those and go to bleed the brakes and both bleader valves are rused down to nothing.
After all that i said screw it and it sat untill yesterday. I got new calipers, pads and rotors. The rotors were a pain in the ass. I had to pull the whole hub off to change them. Been sitting for a long time so its nice and rusty. Well i got it all done today. I'm just wondering what will go next. Damn Chevy!!!!! -------------------- 1991 GSX

Those rotors are a major PITA, I've been avoiding it on my van for the same reason. I had a caliper freeze up on me last year, so replaced both of the fronts and bled lines, but left the rotors; I just deal with a warped effect, kindof annoying but much less so then changing/turning the rotors. I think the bleeder problem is pretty common on those, but since the calipers are only like $10 ea it's not that big of deal. I think the lines/body rusting is the most common prob on those though, so if you got them changed should be in good shape. -------------------- 1978 Mustang II King Cobra

Yea i didn't have much fun with it this weekend. I used to plow 5 lots with it so i'm sure that didn't help anything. My arms are still sore from swinging a sledge hammer all weekend.

Well i drove the truck to work a few times and pulled a few logs out of the woods with it and lo and behold i found another gas leak!!!!!!!!!!
The only 6" of stock line i didn't change!! Very slow drip but it still makes me angry! So i quess its back into the garage.

better than the motorcycle of mine that decided to rust a hole in the side of the tank. Kept smelling gas in the garage, then noticed the paint on the side of the tank was bubbled out ><

My Harley Tank has the same problem at the seem near the back of the tank. She's going under the nife this winter.

yeah this was back by the petcock. It actually worked 2 holes in it. took it back to my dad's place, will get it ground down and either get it welded or braze it.

Drove the beast into work today and it starts shaking like crazy. The rear passenger break is sticking so i get to pull that apart this weekend!
