Wow Kris...You did get lucky!! I'm sure that road rash hurts and will for a while, but I expected to see alot worse when I first seen your post.

Ouch! Hope you're doing a little better by now (I just read it on the 4th). Looks like you got lucky though all things considered. No car following closely behind and just a few scrapes. A buddy of mine has a lightweight nylon motorcycle jacket that's got reinforment at the joints to be breathable yet offers a lot of protection against roadrash, etc. Might want to look into one of those (yeah I know, hindsight and all that.) Glad to see you're ok though.
