My 272 HKS intake cam is destroyed, as well as the head. I called the machine shop, and as I thought, you just can't fix this kind of stuff. It's got to be replaced.

After getting the work done to the car that caused me to miss vickary day, I started it up and it crapped out and refused to start again after about a minute of idling. The intake cam was pretty much frozen in place.

I'll get picks pretty soon (Saturday) to show the extent of the damage. For now, just imagine what would happen if the cam was turning like a metal lathe inside the carrier channel. Pretty bad, but interesting to see if you like to see shit torn up. Kind of funny how hard I've driven the car lately, and the entire time, the cam was getting nastier and nastier.

After all the talk about having no real problems with the car, I really can't complain. This is one small problem compared to what others (such as Marcus) have gone through. The thing that gets me is that I can't recall doing anything wrong when I did the cam install and the oil pressure has been fine ever since. I even called to make sure that de-tuner and jr. were in another zip code the entire time so they couldn't contaminate the process.
