welp, I just got my rebuilt motor in my 92 Talon AWD. The harnesses are all connected, IC pipe is ran. Literally everything is done except the damn thing wont start. The car cranks and im getting fuel but im not getting any spark. This may be because im using a 90 CAS that I wired into the 92 harness. However after checking the wiring diagrams I did wire it correctly, Another thing I was thinking is that the only sensor not hooked up is the sensor on the front of the tranny. The one with the ball on the end of it. I believe its a reverse light switch. Could this cause the car not to start? I printed some tests from alldata on how to test the coil pack so im going to do that now but any ideas will help.
Oh, one more thing. I noticed that on the old intake manifold there was a sensor bolted to the brace on the back of it. It has 2 wires coming out of it and has a silver square cap on it. The backside of it is filled with an epoxy material. Do I need this? I searched all over for a harness on my car but I cant find one that matches this one so I dont even know where to plug it in. Thanks alot guys.

I have a 92 Talon AWD and recently did a 6 bolt swap. When I did this I took the rear motor mount bracket off of the old 7 bolt and put it on the 6 bolt but I did not do this to the front motor mount bracket. The front bracket is still from the 90 6 bolt(the part that bolts to the engine) Apparently there is a difference in length between the 2. What bracket can I use? Obviously a bracket from a 92 awd will work but will one from a n/t fwd or turbo fwd work? Will a 93 or 94 work as well? Im asking because I found a 93 with a 1.8 in the junkyard that has a different bracket but I dont know if I should get it. Thanks in advance guys.

lol, anyway, has anyone ever Rebuilt a tranny? I was thinking about freshening up one if I could pick one up with a broken shift fork or something and put a Speed Design center diff in it with EVO 8 shift forks and all new synchros and bearings. Total on parts would be about 850 so id save about 800 dollars or more. For all that on tre or shep its about 1500.

Ok, not that this would ever happen but here goes anyway. I have a 1986 Chevy Scottsdale 4x4 that I want to trade for a beater that runs good and some cash. The truck has 99K original highway miles. It was previously owned by my uncle then my Grandfather. Its about 85% highway mileage. Engine is a 305 in great running condition. The body is rusted on the surface but its a work truck. It has been ziebarted. there is only one spot that is rusted all the way through. Everything works on it including air conditioning, heat, AM/FM radio, cig lighter, interior lights and all the exterior lights. Maintenence has been well kept up. Has an exhaust manifold gasket leak, a cracked part of the front grill, a baseball size dent under the rear passenger tail light, and no cat (test pipe) But honest to god this truck runs fantastic. The book value is 2000 and thats what I intend to get out of it. So if you have a beater car with no leaks and runs/drives good that youll part with for under 1K and another 1K in cash let me know. Im selling it because it isnt kind on gas (Avg. 13mph city, 16mph highway) and I just want to get my car done for christs sake. I miss the damn thing. Let me know.
