recently it has come to my attention that nippon motors sells stockk motors from japan rather cheap. i am curious since they also include a 180 day warranty. now are they really reliable, or is the company a joke.
now from what i get from their website is that all the motors are in working conditon, but for a stock replacement the only want 1150 $. so can they really be trusted...

Just buy a USDM rebuilt. Its around the same price, and im sure you can find one that has been blueprinted and done professionally which IMHO would be 20X better than a used "JDM" motor.

atheon, what are you planning to put the moror into, do you still have the 1.8 na. I thought you decided that if you were going to get a 2.0 turbo that you would be better off to sell your 1.8 and buy a car that already had the 2.0 turbo. a swap from 1.8 to 2.0 is lots more costly and time consuming. just some friendly advise!!!!

well i still have the 1.8 n/a and i was only wondering about the company. not only does it have mitsu motors, but it ha a 2jzgte supra turbo on there at a decent price. also , all the motors have less than 50,000 kilometers and they are rebuilt. dont ask me how they have that #, but i guess it has to do with emmission laws or something.

I'm unsure about their engines but the company is legit. Legit enough to be the only stocking distributor of Cometic metal head gaskets anyway. They sent me one with no problems or delays after my last head gasket failure.

I agree with gsxracer. Buy an new car rather than go to that kind of trouble. Running turbo in a non turbo car is a pain in the ass.
