What do you think? I've been talking to this guy via e-mail and I might go pick her up to swap everything from the current Talon into. I plan on doing this this summer after having the oil leaks fixed and the tranny rebuilt with a few goodies. I also plan on putting the leather interior into the Laser and just using the cloth in this one. Is it worth $400 and a 6 hour drive with a trailor? He said the body is super clean with one small spot of surface rust and the interior is all clean except for the drivers seat has slight wear.

Its got everything except for an engine, a tranny, a driveshaft, and a radiator. Which I have all of from the current Talon. I've been looking for a black roller anyways. Body looks pretty straight except for maybe on the pass side where the hood goes around the popup, but thats no biggie. My talon is alot worse than that. smile.gif

I think that's a toss up Markus. Sounds like the grass might look a little greener on the other side. Your car really isn't in that bad of condition. I think te ease and price of dropping it off for a new paint job may equall the $400 purchase, 6 hour drive with a trailer, the disassembly of your Talon and reinstallation in the other Talon, plus selling your old Talon.

I'm sure changing the color of your current Talon adds some headaches and expenses for interior color changes and what not, but it comes down to what you's rather do personally.

Ahhh... I was thinking it was coming as a whole....

Marcus has a very good point. I've learned the same thing the hard way. I enjoy driving a stock beat up DSM more than I enjoy laying under one in 20 degree weather any day.... biggthumpup.gif

Well on the current talon There is actually quite a bit of rust. The pass side quarter panel is rusted through and is about 1\3 bondo, the drivers side quarter panel is rusting pretty bad, both doors are rusting on the lower inside, the part where the switch for the interior lights on the inside of the door is rusted through on both sides, the drivers side door has a few good dents in it, the front driverrs side fender is rusted pretty good, the passnegers side fender and bumper are dented pretty good where they meet, and the rear hatch is rusting underneath of the wing. Also there is a bit of paint bubbling starting around the sunroof. But then again half of the fun with this car is spanking on domestics because my car looks like such a POS. smile.gif

If your current car is hurting bad, get it. Another car to cannabilize parts from is a rare luxury.
