if anyone can name what movie the the subject line I'd be impressed.

Not bad, but you can still make one a lot cheaper. I am going to attempt to make one in the near future. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Its sad that I know this, but that quote is from the absolute worst movie ever put in the theaters for any period of time....Cabin Boy.

Well, I was going to do this http://www.geocities.com/dan0myte/mods/intake.html. I might get something thats better looking for the Galant, but I was going to do this for the Talon. If it works really well, I might do it for the Galant and just try and make it look better.

Link doesn't work.

you've got to clip that period, slick.

I've seen that site though and that pipe is garbage, no matter how you make it. Trust me, I drove around with a pvc intake for about a year before I did it right.

Nate, did you get my intake pipe on? pm me.
gvr4ever
Please explain why the PVC sucks so much. Bad fit? Leaky? It should work right if it is made right. Also, why did it take you a year to get right?

I saw a PVC intake on GTP and it worked great. The only difference our cars would have is it has more bends in it.

I've seen PVC intakes before. Most were broken. They just aren't strong enough to take the abuse over any lenght of time.

When the pvc gets hot enough it starts to deform as well as give off poisonous gas. And it does come close enough to the lower radiator hose to do this. The pvc bonding material falls apart over time too. It looks absolutely ghetto, the barb for the bov tube is constantly falling out, it's just bad, no matter how much effort you put into it. It will always be a tight fit, the thickness of the pvc doesn't leave enough room for the bends and even shaving them off as much as possible it's a really tight fit if you want to keep the stock airbox mounts.

You shouldn't listen to me though, because I'm trying to sell you something that will do the job better and costs more. Try the pvc intake for yourself, you'll find out. I lived with it for a year because I'm just as cheap as most dsm guys and wouldn't part with a dollar if I could spend 50 cents and make something myself. I learned over time.

When I posted the link from v-faq, I didn't realize that you were selling the intake.

I just wanted more info then "it sucks". I like the info you posted and I prolly won't build one now.

Please let me know what your intake is made of.
