is it hard to install a new fuel pump in a fwd? i have had one sittin here and never gotten around to puttin it in, but wasnt sure on if i could do it or if i would have to take it somewhere.
also, my exhaust sounds like crap. really rough, not smooth like it used to be. when it did this before, id just have to reattach the muffler to the pipe and tighten down the clamp. i had slopny weld it when it was there last and now it seems to have started back up with sounding really bad. i got under there and couldn't see any obvious leaks, but that doesnt mean there aren't any. is there something else that could make it sound crappy? it sounded like this before we swapped turbos, so i dont think it could be that.
any info is greatly appreciated, as usual

Honestly, installing a fuel pump in a fwd sucks compared to installing one in an awd. But I may be a little soured to it considering a few years ago when Kris and I were installing one in my old fwd, the jack broke, the car almost crushed Kris, and the gas tank poured fuel all over the garage. Ahh memories.
It probably isn't as hard as I make it sound though. Its just that installing one in an AWD is so easy, comparatively. Here's some instructions from vfaq if you want to brave it.

ok the exhaust seems to be leaking on the top where the muffler and pipe come together. do any of you have a welder and the time to take the whole system off and weld the muffler on (slopnys just tacked it). im like totally broke otherwise id just have them do it again.

i s'pose i might be able to get to it on sunday, bring some jack stands over and bring that fuel pump and not much gas in your tank. we'll get it all done
