So heres my current set-up

~Walbro 255 pump
~evo 3 manifold
~act 2600 clutch
~EGT gauge
~boost gauge
Basically I need one more gauge. But I'm unsure of what.

What I want your opinion on is there anything else you can think of that I'm missing. I've got about 500 bucks left in the budget. Ive thought of things such as chromoly flywheel, bigger brake set-up(but new brakes are on the car), fluidyne and slim fans, wider wheels and better tires.

So with all that said. What do you guys think???

I think you're moving way too fast on this car.

If indeed you do have the extra cash (no unforseen expenses, e.g. machine shop time, bad ball joints or tie rod ends) you could probably get a lighter flywheel (XACT is good) and a SAFC. I'm not sure why Kris thinks you're moving too fast, though, perhaps he knows some extra details that we're not privvy to. A large chunk of change will be spent at the machine shop if you need anything done there (e.g. boring, honing, cleaning the block, benchflowing the head, replacing valves/seals/guides, etc). Otherwise, it looks like you're pretty hooked up. Also, don't forget fluids, belts, gaskets/seals, and if you're doing it yourself, a case of PB Blaster and a case of brake parts cleaner (degreases better than engine degreaser) and a truckload of rags.

He's not rebuilding the motor, just adding some parts...

I tend to agree with Kris... There is SOOO much room for error when you throw that many parts at a car that it's difficult to track down problems... Plus I'm jealous...

Anyway, a fuel pressure guage would be helpful with your pump and AFPR. Thinking of getting one myself.

Its not my fault. Good deals only come around when they come around. After a few good deals on some things I had no choice but to upgrade other things. Maybe Ill put it together in stages. Hell I dunno.

edit:plus, my goal was to have a solid 16g set-up. I just didnt want to have piece and parts missing from the set-up and have to take the car off the road every time I order something new.

You got in on that afpr group buy, right? If not I'd buy one of those and a fuel pressure guage. Otherwise, nice tires are always a good investment. Larger, fade resistant brakes are definitely a good idea for safety reasons. Talking from experience here.

What you might want to do is install the stuff you already have. That way you can see how the car takes to the mods and that should tell you what you need. Like if the car runs hot because of that big ass fmic, you may need to purchase the radiator and fans.

yea I did. It should be here soon. Good point tho, I think I'll hold off and see what the car thinks of its new toys.
