I think the whole point was to take it straight to PM's or e-mail. You shouldn't have to reply telling him that you replied...

that only works if I know the person's dsmcentral name. or his (or her) email addy

when someone trys to contact the seller through our classified page, if you reply to that using your email account this is the address it tries to reply to:

"DSMCentral.com Classifieds"@yahoo.com, UNEXPECTED_DATA_AFTER_ADDRESS@.SYNTAX-ERROR.

No I think it's something mike needs to look at... You should be able to respond directly to the person interested in your stuff... PM mike and ask him to look into it.

What Item are you trying to buy so I can look at it?

the way this is supposed to work is,
1. the seller puts the add and all the info for it in the classifieds
2. Someone should buy the part if the need arises and email the seller with an offer.
3. If the offer is accepted the seller then takes the item off the classifieds.


the best way is to email the user with the "email seller" button. The PM only works if the two usernames are the same!

what ben was talking about was that he could not hit the "Reply" button in the email he recieved from someone interested in one of his products.

You can not hit the reply button as the email is coming from DSMCentral.com's web server and not the buyers email account. I have, however, added extra fields the the "Email Seller" link to give the email addresses!
