Out of curiosity, what would it take to use this translator on my 1g??? I already have a 2g wiring harness interface for it. One would think that I could splice it in to the 1g harness, maybe not.

Dan, post your question on www.fullthrottletech.com. I'm sure Mike or Kyle or Bob can let you know if you can use that translator on a 1G. I think I read that the translators are the same, and the only difference between using them on a 1G vs. a 2G is with the wiring harness. IIRC, Bob has a post about that. Anyway, try them out, and if you CAN use it, spend the $30 for the upgraded MAFT chip (version 2.08). It looks like the newest version is hugely improved (as far as tuning, at least) over versions 1.3 and 1.37.

Just get a conversion wiring harness like the ones they use when using a stock 2G MAF on a 1G car. You can make your own using the guides on the VFAQ.

I think that you can just get the req'd chip mailed to you and pop it in yourself. Not positive, but I think so. That's how they're doing their 2.08 upgrades...sending out the new chips for users to replace the older versions. I'd think you could just get the 1G upgrade, instead of the 2G, but I don't know that for sure.
