is it really important?? cause Ive got one of the 2 screws that is seriously rusted in there no slots what soever. Im debating what to do at this point. any ideas?
Justincredible
nevermind. now if I could get this damn fitting off.
ncgalant
take the lower one off first, it helps
Justincredible
yea im thinking I might have to do that.
Justincredible
ok not funny anymore. I cant get EITHER fitting to come off. this sucks.

That's funny cause my big friend alex who is twice as strong as I am couldn't get mine lose. It only took me a couple of tries. Are you using a box ended wrench? I think I used 2 pair of vice-grips. Its not the right way, but it worked.

I've got one right sized 14mm flare nut wrench. and a pair of vice grips on the fitting. still not moved. I said forget it today and put it back together

Soak it in liquid wrench or PB blaster. Tap it a few times. Just when you think you've soaked it enough...soak it some more. Use vise grips and crank on them hard. Just be careful not to kink the hard fuel line out of the pump. It should come loose.

I soaked the crap outta it today. I hope that it'll come off easier next time I try.
