I have some very bad news for everyone. A local DSM that was to race in the SCDC will no longer be racing. An oil cooler line popped off and resulted in the engine spewing all of its oil out onto the road. Before anyone knew it, weird noises and burning smell started to emit from the engine bay. The car was stopped and after fixing the leak and putting oil in it an attempt to start it was made. The crank was spinning, but cam gears were not. The car was trailered and cams removed. Head and cams are toast. Hopefully the head was the only component to see oil starvation damage. Terrible thing to happen to a great running car. If anyone has a 1G head with cams for sale, let me know ASAP. Maybe with the help of other local DSM owners, this car will make it to the SCDC.

The AN fittings say not to use clamps. However, recommended AN type lines were not used on the fittings, just farm and fleet 3/8" reinforced rubber hose.

Regular hose w/ clamps would have worked fine. They just weren't tight enough. Not really your fault. I was just giving you shit after you tried blaming that shit on me (who never touched it).
