I removed all 4 bolts that hold the transfer case to the trani, then I started to get the unit to slide off of the shaft but it stopped.

I can still wiggle it around but don't seem to be making any progress. Tips anyone???

I belive there are 5 bolts holding the trasfercase on...

if it's anything like mine, there should be a little bugger hiding up on the top, middle area of the transfercase, it's usually the most rearward bolt on top

haven't got it out yet, haven't been under there since I sent the post, hopefully tonight I will get under there again

well I've located the fifth bolt and removed it and sure enough the transfer case slid right off, I also have the half million bolts for the trani loosened (including the three that you need to remove the battery tray to even see) tomorrow I sould be removing it and taking it to SloPny to get rebuilt. maybe I will be able to make the rescheduled SCDC!!!!
