That's not what they're saying. They are saying that only the fastest of the fast(<10 second) should need their cars to be gutted.

A car being gutted does not mean its a POS. I don't understand how you came to that conclusion.

I think this is what Troy is referring to. Probably could have been worded a little better by Mr. Buschur.

Gutting your car will make it quicker whether you run 15 sec or 9 sec in the 1/4 mile. Less weight is always faster and its almost always free. If one wants some free speed and doesn't mind toolin around in a gutted car, I don't see anything wrong with it.

yeah, I took major offense to that line too. **** mr buschur for calling my car a pos because it's gutted. I like my pos gutted car better than my dd full interior overweight porker 4 door. I'll do as I please and IF I attend the shootout this year I WON'T pay to race AGAIN. In fact, I'll probably sneak in amidst a cloud of my own beer farts.....again.

your forgetting the most important part. Its not a car, its a purpose built tube chassis. It has huge slicks in the back and is RWD.
