hey everyone. i've got a 1g bov and i want to "crush" it but i don't have a gauged hand pump (that's what i was told to use). i don't want to do it blind by just puting it in a vice and cranking it. any thoughts?

I have never done it before, but the only thing I can think of would be like a dial type tire air pressure guage MIGHT work..... BTW.... CAUTION..... I don't have a clue what I am talking about, do not use my suggestion without confirmation from someone that really knows what is going on

Why do you want to crush it? My stocker held 21psi easily, as will most of the 1g bovs you will come across. Are you running to much boost for it?

i'm not running that much boost. i just figure that if the stock 2g BOV leaked at 8-9psi then this one would only get up to 15 or so psi. thanks much guys

use caustion, an improperly crushed bov will hold less boost and leak... I'm not a big fan of crushing the 1g bov, for a stock peice it's pretty damn good.
