Anyone have a current phone number for them?

I've tried the number listed on 411.com and Yahoo's yellow pages, but it says it is disconnected.

I called 411 and the operator said she doesn't have Marlow's Stereo in Pekin listed.

???

They closed down in pekin since they couldnt compete with Rex. But now there is a new place Xtreme Sounds on auto row.

Well I shouldnt say competition more kids in pekin are cheap and would rather have the $150 cd player and cheap speakers than competition level material. All the stuff in there is not your average equipment. I dont know about most people but I don't have 10,000 for a stereo. I have only gone down to Xtreme to get a harness. That was it. ( yes they didnt have it in stock ) Got it the next day so I was fine with that, I didnt have to drive to Peoria to get it. And your right doing it outside is dumb so everyone can see it. But having someone install a cd player or speakers that fit without much modification is dumb also.

You make fun of my intelligence when you cant even spell it happy.gif

I went to Marlows first for the harness but they were closed...

Everytime I went there nice guys. They sold QUALITY material. ANd them being gone the people wanting the good stuff will have to go somewhere else.

About other stores I dont think its the smartest thing to buy from Rex or Best Buy you need to find places like Marlows that are car audio specific for the past 10 yrs

Well thats my .02

would have never known they closed, they seemed to be close all the time anyway.

I've had good results with Stewart Radio in East Peoria. He carries some good stuff. I also got an Infinity Perfect 12 and Crossfire amp off the internet from a wholesale place for way cheaper than retail and both were new and in perfect condition.

Marlow's really closed because of the RICE! Lol... J/K. Looks like the only place still in business is AIP.

Sorry to hear about Marlows. I knew Joe for quite some time, as I was a "regular" in their store all through high school. I'll definately miss Marlows. sad.gif

Thanks for the other recommendations guys... However, I think I'll stick with Toby at Mobile Audio here in town. Marlows would be the only other install shop I would've considered doing business with.
