how hard is it to remove the cruise control on my 90'? what exactly do i need?
MidwestDSM
a wrench and a service manual.

You'll need a shorty throttle cable out of a 1.8 liter base model. I believe these are the only models that came without cruise control.

It's a really simpler process. Undo the throttle cable on the throttle body. Unbolt that huge box (cruise control box). and then the only hard part is to get the throttle cable off of the gas pedal. Take some needle nose pliers and squeeze the neon green cap while pulling up. If you don't know that it can be tough, with it, it's a simple operation.

Haha! I think it was an option on 1.8's.

Yes, if you are looking to permanently get rid of cruise control.
