You win... I broke. Again. With any luck she'll be together in time, but I don't know if she'll be broke in. At least this time it was the crank, so I get to replace the ENTIRE bottom end instead of just a couple pistons. Good news is that before she blew she had great compression. I think I'll go with a bit higher compression slugs this time. And a new crank. And some new rods, bearings, rings, gaskets, studs, nuts and bolts, a water pump. The countdown begins. Maybe I'll bring the Honda. At least I'll know I have transportation for the drive home...

WTF? Benny, what're you up to? *laugh*
So, beginning of September? And here I'd sworn off performance mods and was just looking to the next one being handling ... Grrr...
Although, a premeditated approach to finding launch and shift-point without doing circles from the starting line again and again next time would be good... I guess I'll have to drop by, find out the date, and make up my mind.
Did you ever get the NOS dialed-in for quarters, Benny? I never heard a time. I'm certain I have a 13.2 or less in here w/new clutch and attitude... *laugh*

OK, so I'm gonna piss somebody off if they read this, but, who's is the orange/whatever colored 'Stang with the SLO PNY plate, drag slicks on the rear and the skinnies up front?
9/19, I understand the Porsche club has a September AutoX scheduled - hope I don't hafta choose, dammit...

How much is the cost to race on the 19th? is it the same as a regular test-n-tune or is it more?
awd4kicks
Aug 27 2004, 07:28 PM
The orange stang is owned by Lloyd and it has some incredible potential even without NOS or forced induction.
Price for the September 19th drag day will be $40 per racer and $5 per sectator. Details and sign-up sheet to follow soon!

AutoX is more important to me, but ... dammit ... *SIGH*
