the gold standard for a dsm, stock interior, is pretty much kyb agx wrapped with eibach pro kits...

but, i have a gutted dsm... i was told that kris ran kyb agx's with eibach pro's on his gutted car and wasn't happy with it.. I looked in your garage and all i see is speed holes.

I heard kris has some sort of coil overs that wrap over kyb agx's... Does anyone know anything about such coil overs? which ones are good which ones are crap, etc....

i'm not looking for a ricer slammed look... I'm looking for performance aspects...

although money is no issue, i'd rather not invest a grand or two into suspension when i'm looking at sheet metal intakes, rebuilding engine, etc....

thanks for your thoughts...

Mitsu 77 and I had a set of Dropzone coilovers on a set of AGX's on the modified AWD gutted dirt track car. Worked great for what we used them for but quality was a little on the cheap side. They came without directions...

I know ground control are good products. They are, in fact, a seperate entity from Eibach. They made specs and plans for all of thier products, and were paying a small outfit to make the parts for them, since at the time they were relitivly small and couldn't afford thier own equipment. After good buisiness, they decided to let Eibach take over actual production of thier parts, and have since done great because of it. Ground Control systems are for the most part very well designed, and manufactured every bit as well if not better than Eibachs.

with the gutted car the prokits ended up actually raising the car back up to about stock ride height.

I don't know who makes the ground controls I'm using now or who designed them, but the springs say eibach on them. I'd recommend the soft springs if you're gutting your car, it's an option when you order the ground control coil overs.

If I had it to do over again, I'd go with a set of coilovers from JIC or tein though. Suspension is more important than the engine to me now though.

thanks Nick and Kris...

not sure if i want full blown coil overs yet. I think i want a dogmission, or atleast a rebuilt motor first...

I think i want a dogmission

replacing tranny fluid about 3 times as much as oil is not an appealing aspect for me. I'd rather stick with syncros.
