Ok i push the pedal to the floor and let of about a 16th of and inch and the car wants to go how do i adjust this so the clutch ingages better. Oh and if i dont have the pedal all the way to the floor and i mean all the way to the floor hard, it grinds like the slave cylinder is not going out far enough. Any thoughts?

the adjustment rod is on the back of the pedal like a brake i think. try bleeding the master cyl for the clutch too.

nope i was wrong. the rod is on the master cyl it self. and the bleed screw is on the slave cyl.

Adjustment is pretty easy, its just really hard to get into a postition to do it. I believe all you need is a 12mm wrench and maybe a pair of chanel locks to tighten it down when your done.

I have already bled the clutch slave cylinder and it didnt do much its still hard to shift into gear and the clutch pedal is still on the floor. Do you think that the clutch slave cyinder is bad? Or any other suggestions would help.

Did you just put a new clutch in? My ACT 2100 was that way when I first put it in and I had to adjust the pedal. Make sure you don't overadjust though, I put mine back to stock height and it was slipping soon after.

Its not a new clutch but it is an act2100 and i did just put it BACK in.

its probably just an adjustment issue then. Put your seat all the way back and lean it back. Lay in the seat backward and shine your flashlight on the clutch. Turn it so more of the rod is in the master. It'll only take maybe two full turns to make a big difference. Total... 10 minutes

See if this is correct for your vehicle too. It worked on my Evo.

Well, yes, it adjusted the clutch point, but it didn't resolve all of my problems. Shifting's become a bit clunkier since the new clutch and I'd hoped to resolve it. I still have some room to adjust it and my attempt it again myself.

Take a 12 AND a 10 with you because I don't remember which worked. Otherwise, vice-grip pliers to rotate the rod. You have to stand on your head in the driver's seat...

Do you notice any fluid in the footwell? If so, you probably need a new master cylinder. If you are still using the original slave cylinder you could probably use a new one of those. They're cheap from autozone or advance.

I replaced both the clutch master cylinder and slave last year. I have gone throught about 3 slave cylinders in 2 yrs from autozone though. This makes me think that the slave cylinder is bad again. I noticed that the boot on the slave cylinder had some fluid in it. I was under the impression that this was just a dust jacket. Is there suposed to be any fluid in this? Kris also did the adjustment on the pedal and it worked out a little better but not alot.

That says it all. Buy a Mitsu one.

Actually, I've been running for 3 years straight on my Autozone slave cylinder. Maybe I got lucky.

If there is any fluid in the boot of the slave cylinder, it needs replaced Kris.

Also if there is a leak in the line it will be messed up. But usually it will stick ot the floor, like mine did.
