I'm pissed. Driving home from work south on Knoxville, pass Sheridan and while driving in the left lane, the pot hole of all pot holes comes upon me. Car to the right of me and less than a second to react I try and cut it to the left but still manage to fall into this hole in the earth. Felt like I hit a wall. Car feels ok for about 3 seconds then starts to swing out in the rear. Had to pull into midstate to check the car out by then it was making terrible noises. Well thanks to Peoria roads both driver side tires and rims are absolutely destroyed.
Anyone have a cheap set of 2 stock 16 tires? I have lots of rims on blown out tires. Just need something to get me moving.

I don't have two stock sized tires but I do have four Goodyear Eagle GA 235/55R16 which are a little wider than your 205 series tires. They have about 3-4 /32 tread left. Great for taking a beating, $20 takes 'em.

I have a nice 30 mph wobble in one of my wheels from the north bound lane of the same location. There is a wicked hole mixed in with the train tracks right by VOPs, beware!

We should have a few decent ones around here. Do you need a rim/tire combo or just the tires?
Have both, just checking so that we know what to quote you for price.
(decent used tires normally ~$20 per tire here)

Here is kind of a funny story. Tonight we were on Knoxville coming from Pioneer Parkway trailering a car to Washington when we hit a big pooper pothole soo hard that all four trim rings on the trailer popped off. It was like I was wacthing a cartoon or some Starsky & Hutch poopy. Chris's girlfreind was behind us and told us that all four just went flying. It was pretty damn funny and I don't think that could happen again if we tried.

Taxi- You should be able to contact IDOT about the damage done by the pothole. Take some pics of the pothole and the damage to your car and hook up with IDOT and your insurance company.
Ask akamiami about any more detail. He went through the same process after nailing a "pothole".

Her name was Layla. She was ugly, but I think "pothole" is a bit harsh.

pothole? hell, it was a bottomless chasm that gaped like the maw of some viscious tear in the earth's crust. I think I saw spy's _avatar_ winking at me from the depth of hades.
Stick it to the man! Claim that pothole damage!

Insurance pretty much told my I’m SOL since I only have liability. Called the city and they said that area is actually state jurisdiction. I filed a claim and they told me they would mail me some BS to fill out and send back with pictures and more info then it goes into claims and is decided whether or not it will be approved. So if they fork up the repair cash it probably wont be for a while but i better get paid! this blows

I also managed to hit this hole a while ago, put a nice dent in my passenger side rim. Knoxville is a b!tch!
