Hi---

I'm new to the board and was hoping someone could help me out with recommendations of mechanics they've had good luck with. I had an old-skool mechanic do my timing belt job up in chicago a while back, and have been having nasty vibrations since then(long story why I didn't take it back and make him fix it). Somebody thought there was a good chance it was an out of phase balance shaft/belt and I'm just looking for a good shop(in champaign) to take a look at it/ fix it for me.

Just a little FYI, I guarantee you it's one of the balance shafts. I had the exact same thing happen to me. That was the last time I took my car to a mechanic for major maintenance.

I've heard people say good things about KOU, so don't be afraid to take your car there. I've dealt with Christian, and he's a cool dude, so have no worries.
