Dude! Darryl and a lot of people from the Peoria area are going to Cordova on October 11th. Not too far away. If you make it I'll go too.
Last year we normally left at like 4PM on Friday to get there and racing by 6PM or so.

Take the War memorial exit and head north. You'll see the shopping center on your right a few miles down the road.

It was incredibly busy at Cordova last night. It was a good time though.
I only made two runs and didn't do anything spectacular. I made a 13.65 run and a 13.63 at around 97MPH. This is with pump gas, full weight, and my head light still in. All these items were race ready when I ran my 13.30 earlier this year, so it should roughly be the same now.
David got in at least six runs and a best of 13.60 I think. Pretty good considering he launches nice a casual. Darryl made about 4 runs or so. Best of 12.5 I think, but he was plagued with VPC problems and the like.
There was also a 3000GT there that David knew that was trying to bust into the 12's with his biger-than-13g turbos, 550's and AFC. His last 3 runs were as follows: 13.16, 13.04 then finally a 13.01! Excellent runs but just frustrating when your trying to break into the next level! I know that feeling.
There will be some tire changes before next time, I was laying down some massive burnouts even some tire spining on the launches, which is very rare for a prepaired track.

for the record Darryl ran a best 12.04 (that I saw), lots of fun, even if I did have to bring the Goobermobile...

He also laid down an incredible 1.5X 60 ft. time on one run while I was churning out 1.7x 60 footers. !.7's pretty much whips most of the competition out of the hole here locally, but 1.5x is just awesome to see!

My best was a 13.688 and a 100.22mph trap, those were on different runs though. I wouldn't say my launches were nice and casual, but they certainly not where I wanted them. (1.9s vs. 1.7s) I suspect my clutch was limiting me, because I launches as hard as I do on the street. For some reason though I couldn't get the tires to spin like they do on the street, and I think that's what caused my clutch to slip a bit. Also, both of my 13.6xx runs were done with ECS on sport mode, so that's something I'll have to remember in the future.
SPY: RO VR4 was there, he's got the DR500 turbos, and some kick ass Konig Tantrum 18" rims.

Dave...nothing personal on the launches. From what I hear those 3S's are hard to launch without the clutch slipping. It just looks to me like you could gain a couple tenths with a balls-to-the wall, transmission breaking AWD launch. Now, I didn't say it would be worth it, just maybe a little quicker. 8)

BTW - I found that my knock problem is very controlable under 17psi. The only problem with that is my car gets WICKED boost creep. I recently ran quite a few tests with Nate and the pocket logger. This thing almost always hits 17-18psi in 3rd and 19-20psi in 4th...no matter what! Whether I have the MBC set very low or even if I have my switch on low boost where the boost is supposed to be around 10-12psi.
So I'm looking for an external dump O2 housing that will allow me to run a constant psi of about 16-17psi without boost creep, and with out knock! Should prove to be a pretty substantial improvement. This would remedy my post 1/8th mile track times and MPH.
