i just got my garrett t3t4 60 trim on. it starts spooling at 3200 and is at full boost around 5000 at 15psi. the car is running rich, because i am going to put it on the wideband. was getting no knock. the next thing i am going to get is a nice set of cams.
but i was just seeing what else i could do to get the car to spool up a little better. i have ported 1g exhaust manifold and 02 housing. 3inch exhaust and all the other sapporting mods.

well my friend had this same turbo and his spooled at 4k rpm. and we were talking and we think i have a boost leak. heres some of the stuff its doing.
cutting out at low rpm, laggy as hell, and when we were doing logs with the palm pilot, it was getting tons of airflow.
im going to tighen up all the clamps and everything then if i cant figure it out boost leak test it.
what do you guys think boost leak?

could be a boost leak causing it. Also, 1g manifolds suck. What size of exhaust are you running? Exhaust makes a HUGE difference

3inch exhaust
Just reread his post and found it.
Why are you running a low boost of 15psi if you've got all the supporting mods? Where did you get the turbo and I assume it's a hybrid Garrett/Mitsu turbo since you said it's a T3/T4 that bolts up to the Mitsubishi flange? Basically, you've got a ginormous turbocharger on there with the stock, oh so small, chokehold on your airflow cams. They would definitely be on my list if I were you. Get yourself at least an EVO III exhaust manifold and a better O2 housing afterwards and you'll feel a difference.

well i found out my problem, my wastagate actuator was turned out, so the wastegate was open a little. And i got a garrett t3t4 60 trim from bullseyepower. its a bolt up t3t4 and im only running 15psi for now tell i can get a wideband on it. How much boost do you guys think my car is capable of handling. the only thing i dont have yet are arps and mls gasket wich i will be getting sometime soon.
anyways the car is fully spooled by 4000 and is running really good. sounds like a freakin semi.

If you don't have ARP's and are still running the stock head gasket, I wouldn't throw more than 20 psi at her, if you want to stay on the safe side. You might be able to get away with more, but who knows for how long.

if you want to buy a 2g exhaust manifold (unported) pm me. It'll definately help you out on the flow, especialls if you have it ported.
