Rear Sway: in-hand.
Spring kit: in-hand.
New cat: in-hand.
3"DP: un-f_cking-known

Autocross: 4/16-4/17

AFAIK nate has some exhaust parts coming/in-hand.

What's the status nate?

Where are you Kris?

I ain't hittin' autocross 'til the springs and sway are on - cat/dp are secondary to me right now.

Let's get something scheduled!!!
natedogg
Well, I haven't received my exhaust yet. I better by this weekend though. I'll let you know.
JMoushon
Don't mean to break up your little EVO owners party, but I have a lot of my tools with me this weekend. I'll be available Saturday afternoon, if you're interested.

That is, if you'll accept help from a lowly 1g DSM owner. tongue.gif
Kazz5
Interest noted and appreciated. If I'm pinched I'd at least like to get the cat and sway on this weekend. Let's see if nate gets UPS lucky as well!
akamiami
okay, I'll be coming down next weekend so if anything is going on then, I'm down.

What exhuast are you getting penis?
Kazz5
NEXT weekend? NEXT WEEKEND? Speaking of limp appendages...

Next weekend is an autocross in Rantoul. Therefore the need to have sh!t done by then - you know, like doing it THIS weekend and tuning/getting used to it by then?

I won't steal nate's thunder but if he gets it in, he's breathin' better than I am until my 3" hits the porch.

Oh, and next weekend is also the Peoria Rough Rider's home opener Saturday night... *Shrug*

I assume you are talking to me since I am the only walking penis I know of.

I went with the TurboXS exhaust. Out of all the sound clips I've heard, nothing sounds better. Not loud, but beefier sounding than the stock exhaust.

Its heavier due to thicker guage stainless and a couple hp shy of Buschur's output, but the hp part could have easily gone the other way based on changing conditions.

Kazz- I'll be calling machv today to see what the status is on the exhaust. It looks like this weekend will be open for me though til about 5:00 on Saturday and pretty much all day Sunday. You're more than welcome to come over and we'll get your stuff installed. If none of my stuff comes in I'll be out in the garage working on the ole lawn mower anyway.
Kazz5
I'm trying to find gaskets and bolts in the area so I can at least get the cat on.

Do we wanna go for ths springs? That'd be an all-dayer it seems. Maybe just the sway?

JMoushon - you up for this?

I've got alot of other crap to take care of around the house, etc. too so I can't put all day into it...

Takin' input!
natedogg
Its your show, Jack. Give me a call if you want to go for it. I won't be getting my exhaust until Wednesday.
Kazz5
... and my weekend just got shot in the ass last night ... *eyeroll*
Kazz5
... but I *DID* get my FMIC replaced myself late last night. Good to get rid of the bent/punctured unit. Maybe I fixed a boost leak. *Shrug*
akamiami
If we're doing this stuff this coming weekend, lets figure it out soon. I need to know so I can call in for this saturday at the shop. I'm up for a 8am or so start time so we can get this thing done with a quickness and be all wrapped up before noon easily. make sure to bring doughnuts and coffee, otherwise, I'll admit my effectiveness will be SEVERELY limited. gnarf: I like doughnuts, let's play fatball, partyhat fatness :gnarf

In that amount of time (~4 hrs) I have no doubt we would be able to do the exhuast, springs and sway on your car, lindsey. I guess that is provided we have all the tools and spring compressors, though you should pick up a rental set of spring compressors just to be safe from autozone sometime before the work is done.
natedogg
If you wanna come over at 8, that's fine, but don't expect me to be ready to work on anything beside relieving some morning wood. Waking up at 5:30 am during the week makes Nate appreciate his weekends. 9:30 to 10 works better for me. I do have all the tools needed except the spring compressors.

Besides, since when do you wake up earlier than 11 on the weekends, kamehameha?
akamiami
it's easier for me just to stay in the habit of waking up ealier than trying to change my sleep schedule that much.

as long as you don't relieve that lumber on me I'll be okay with it. ' morning wood is a gift from god to women, thus sayeth thine creator.' Tibetians 3:24.

[shakes head] whatever happened to the good ole days... sad.gif
Kazz5
yer gettin' damned old, Kris.

I've been told you can get the spring compressors at autozone. If this could all happen in 4 hours, over by lunch, my wood would be well treated at home... after all, that's what it's all about once you rope it in to living with you, isn't it?

Talk to me - nate's early and he's gettin' up or elsewhere early? Or throw up another suggestion...
natedogg
Havin' some trouble makin' sense of that, boss.
akamiami
I concur. jibberish.

okay, now I get it. he was saying "nate's place early in the morning or somewhere else?" I think we're best off taking nate's generous offer to use his stable. Even if we both get a bit of the AM wink from one-eyed wee willy wetpants.
Kazz5
Ah, a translator - well done miami-san.

Yes, nate's place but ... how early? *Laugh*
natedogg
I'll compromise. 9 am. Now are we talking Saturday or Sunday here, boyos?
akamiami
I prefer saturday.
eclipgst
does that mean your sexy ass if cuming to see me this weekend?
akamiami
abso-fruitly
Kazz5
nate - got exhaust?

I'll get confirmed for 9am Sat...

If you need to borrow spring compressors, I have two sets.

Marty
natedogg
I did get my exhaust yesterday. Its beautiful!

We'll concentrate on your car though. I can slap my exhaust on anytime.
eclipgst
i also have spring conpressors. Since gross is staying with me i will just give them to him and he can take them
akamiami
you're so good to me poppi.
Kazz5
OK, 9am at 'dogg's and you're bringin' the spring compressors, Kris? I'm gonna be there, just let me know whether I need to make any other plans for the spring compressors.

Nate - we can get it all at the same time. Should I bring my jack stands so we can get both up in the air?

Thanks!
Justincredible
are you ladies working saturday or sunday? I'd be up for helping ya sunday if you want an extra pair of hands.

I gotta work on sat so I cant help then.
Kazz5
It's a Saturday thing right now. My whole focus was to be ready IN CASE I could make the autocross on Sunday. That looks dubious, but I hope to have the suspension done Saturday so I have no suspension changes the rest of the autocross season.

Now, what all we get done by the time anyone has to leave (Kris by noon I hear, me by soon after) there may be some things left undone. I'd love to see Nate's exhaust, my suspension and whatever-the-hell-else all done by 1pm Saturday. But stay tuned or stay in touch with Nate.

natedogg
Spy you are more than welcome to come out Saturday.
akamiami

Im so upset over being not invited to your early morning sausage fest.
I hope I get a shot at that pos when you finally make 300whp.

You DO make alot of friends, don't you?

Track and autocross - just bring it, anytime.

...

... and you're still just jealous.
Kazz5

Kazz5

Haha! It's much worse in the confines of my driveway. And I was talking to my neighbor today about cars. Come to find out he's a huge gearhead and has a '66 Chevy II he's working on. He says my exhaust doesn't even bother him!!! laugh.gif
natedogg
It was a good time. Thanks for taking me along on the test drive afterwards. You ran those roads damn good for not knowing them.

You've about got me convinced to get the same suspension setup on my car now. The drop looked good, the car handled superbly, and the ride didn't seem any rougher than stock. You'll have to let me know what you think of it after driving on it for a week or so, especially when you get some sticky tires on her.

You got lucky on that one! Good thing your neighbor isn't an old grouch that would call the cops on you every time you drive up in your own driveway. I'd invite him over to learn some Mistubeechi skills. Girls like guys with skills....computer hacking skills, nunchuck skills, Mistubeechi skills......girls like guys with skills.

Um, I ran those roads completely within the confines of the law. *Nods*

I've not taken it out since I drove it home. Should get back out in it a bit later today and, if necessary, some time tonight. I want to spend some time on some roads I know well for better comparison.

Honestly, that first drive, she seems less harsh amazingly enough - that's supposed to be the job of the dampers I thought. The flatness around the corners is a nice new change. This is going to take some getting used to. I think it was a damn good choice to put the new sway on the softest setting.

Thanks again!

Take the trash talking to PM's guys.
