Just as a friendly reminder I want to make sure everyone was aware that R&T's is holding a Dyno Day at their facility in Pioneer Park, Peoria this Saturday (4/9/05)starting at 9am.

$65 for two pulls.

There should be some high HP pulls made and I plan to go check it out. biggthumpup.gif

do they have an AWD dyno ?
awd4kicks
Sorry! Two wheel drive only.

... wonderin' what the upcharge is for 4wd vehicles ...

I hear it's a good time, that they're good hosts. Wish I had my 3"DP and cat on though...

They can't do awd vehicles unless you have a viscous coupling eliminator of some sort that allows you to disconnect your transfer case and supply all power to the front wheels.
mitsu90
is there any place around that can do AWD?
turbohcar
I wonder if it's even worth it to dyno the S10? Something like 40 RWhPowAr! out of that monsterous 2.2L 4cyl Cavalier motor!

James, you better be scared in the Wussy Max. I can burn 'em halfway through first and chirp 'em into second.

Well, I ran the Frank 3 at the dyno.

An oil leak nearly shot the day, but I diapered it and ran low boost ~17psi.

Since it was an under the gun install, we had to fab up some in-a-pinch lower i/c piping (1.75in) and use the stock, small-hole smic. Also, an unforseen issue at the dyno shop meant no wideband to monitor afr, so I turned the fuel up until I was making black smoke diesel style.

With a ton of rich knock and pulled timing, I pulled 260whp through the smic before it fried (first run).

The turbo is the real deal, very capable, but the hasty and limiting install was not helping any. I can easily forsee this turbo going well past 450whp, I was barely running it. Hell, a Frank3 isn't even happy until 22+ psi, and from what I understand, 26-28 is doable.

Lag is apparent, especially coming from a ported 14b, with full boost available around 4k.

The big pull of the day came from an Integra. My friend Robert laid down 451 whp @ 8400rpm, on pump gas (92 Clark) and 27psi. The turbo is a Garrett 60 trim, so on C16 and 30+psi, this car has 500+ whp all day long. It was awesome.

There was also a Chevy Duramax diesel that put down 919 ft/lbs. Insanity.

You Bastage! You said you weren't going to run huh.gif

Anyway Robert's Integra did make some sweet pulls. The part that amazed me was how quick a car under full load will go to 9 grand when it's pumping 450HP! The 317 ft/lbs of torque is very respectable but very H o n d a like compared to the HP.

The Duramax went through it's pulls just as quickly but then the redline was about half of the Integra's and was pulling about the same HP. Those things rock like DSM's by the way they were able to tune this thing within a 15 minute time period and 4 pulls from 450ft/lbs of torque to over the 900 ft/lb mark.

I vaguely remember a few others...(all numbers are approximate)

Grand National severely in need of a tune easily pulled 330HP
Newer Mustang GT slowly drug out a 225 HP pull (Sounded cool though)
Neon SRT-4 put down 250HP at the wheels with just bolt-ons
A family cruiser Buick Regal with a blower pulled something like 275HP & 300ft/lbs
Stock Chrysler LHS rolled out 160HP
A screaming 636cc motorcycle with a tune ripped off a deffening 106HP!!!
A carburated all motor Fox body with AC pulled an untuned 310HP
Aparently before I showed up an LS1 SS Camaro made a loud as hell 404HP pull with just a cam and heads.

Overall it was a good time and a huge turnout for this kind of event.
Anyone else rember other pulls?

Dammit, J! You said you'd call me if you ran!! biggrin.gif
Rizzo
I will just take a guess here, was the lhs spy's?
Kazz5
Dammit, sorry I couldn't be there. Lousy weekend. I got there after 4pm and some smoke-belching the car that we shall not name threw a 138 or some-such - needing a quart of oil when it was finished I'd guess based on the plume and black bumper stain...

Timing was bad in a number of ways. I hope they do this again this year but I assume it's a once-a-year thing.

Did the '04 GTO run?

Ahh...I would have liked to see the TA run too.

My apologies to everyone for running on the down lo. I didn't think I would, but Rob told me to diaper it and go, so I went. It was a decision made on the spur of the moment. Very sorry.

you're not forgiven. I'll hold this grudge against you till the day I die with a cold fist gripping your defaced photograph.
