ok guys as of yesterday it was made official. I have not yet outlined the payouts or prizes but they will be plentiful. we have many sponsors in the pipeline for this event and it hopes to be one hell of a day. Once I get everything finalized it will be posted on our site and I will link you guys to it. Keep in mind this is a CLOSED TRACK. it will be only for people in this event and only for imports. Things that are on the plate possibly are also:
Bikini contest
Burnout contest
and any other possible events you guys might want to suggest.

AMS is announcing their first ever import event. The day will cater to all DSM, EVO and SRT-4 owners throughout the Midwest. Classes will be geared to group cars of similar capabilities together, limiting lopsided pairings. Please take note of the class you are entering, you will need to reference it at the gate to be placed in the appropriate class.
DSM
Mitsubishi Turbo: MIT Turbo
This class will be for all cars running a Mitsubishi turbo. That means T-25, 14B, 16G, 18G etc. water/methanol injection as well as race gas is allowed. Bolt on T3/T4’s, Greens, Reds, etc will not qualify for this class. All cars in this class must have NO N2O, both front seats, both door panels, all factory glass and be on a radial tire. FWD DSM’s may run slicks
Street Modified: ST. MOD
This class entails any turbo option for the car with No Nitrous. Water/methanol injection along with race gas is allowed. All cars in this class must have both Front seats, carpet, door panels, full factory glass and must run a radial tire. ET streets and quick time pro’s or equivalent will not be allowed. FWD DSM’s may run slicks
EVO VIII
Stock EVO Turbo: SET
This is for all EVO VIII’s still running the stock turbo. Larger exhaust housings are acceptable as is water/methanol injection and race gas. No N2O, Full interior, full factory glass and radial tires. ET streets and quick time pro’s or equivalent will not be allowed.
EVO Street Modified: EVO ST. MOD
This is an open class for all Evo VIII’s running aftermarket turbos. Water/methanol injection and race gas is acceptable This means No N2O, Full interior, full factory glass and the car must run radial tires. ET streets and quick time pro’s or equivalent will not be allowed.
SRT-4
SRT-4 Stock Turbo : SRT-4 STOCK
This class is for all SRT-4’s still running the stock turbo. Water/Methanol injection along with race gas is acceptable. The car must have both front seats, full carpet, full factory glass, No N2O and must be on a radial tire. ET streets and quick time pro’s or equivalent will not be allowed.
SRT-4 Street Modified:
This class is for all SRT-4’s running an aftermarket turbo. Water/Methanol injection along with race gas is allowed. All cars must run both front seats, factory carpet, Factory glass and No N2O. Any tire is allowed for this class
QUICK 16: Q16
This is an all goes class for any 4g63 powered car or SRT-4. Run whatever turbo you want. Run as much nitrous as you want. Take whatever you want out of the car as long as it passes tech. Slicks are allowed and encouraged. The fastest 16 cars will qualify then compete. NO TUBE CHASSIS CARS ALLOWED!
All classes with the exception of Quick 16 will have competitors paired at random. Once the Quick 16 qualifiers are chosen the field will be paired based on the cars qualifiying time. Ie: 1st qualifier vs. 16th qualifier, 2nd qualifier vs. 15th qualifier and so on.
TEST AND TUNE
We are also allowing all import owners the chance for test and tune. Test and tune will be early in the morning and between elimination rounds.
TECH
Please keep in mind that this will be normal event and tech although done by AMS staff will still be done correctly. Please make sure your car is in good mechanical condition. We will be popping your hood so keep that in mind. Finally Oil on the track is no fun for anyone. It causes downtime at the track and very frustrated people in the staging lanes. With that in mind please don’t expect to run your car if you are leaking oil or other fluids.
