Boy do I feel dumb. Always go over new stuff the PO added to the car and make sure to check the basics of the basics.
First of all, under the hood the first thing that catches your eyes are new plug wires. What was wrong: 3 plug wires not seated on spark plugs, 1 fuel injector plug was loose/off, plug wires to distrib in wrong sequence.
Re-routed plug wires, boom, car starts instantly. I think I might have 2 switched though, massive white smoke. I'll have to check, they were loose, but I have to sleep now. I feel soooo much better.
Tuesday I'll spend the day rechecking plug routing and clean underhood. Liscensing to come next.

Coil packs then? I need to replace the intake gasket, looks like it's leaking like crazy. That will also give me chance to clean up intake manifold and underhood.
Before/after shots to follow.

great, those plug wires were just sitting in there i had taken the plugs out to check compression (i never even checked thier sequence..doh) , the white smoke is more than likely just an excess of unburnt fuel blowing out the exhaust ( since it wasnt sparking ;-) ) you might want to suck that gas out or get it through before you go too far with it ... it's VERY old
and a 3" mandrel bent downpipe would fit nicely on there
(from the left plugs) 4321 - from the top (coil) 4123

and the coil sparks on intake and exhaust .... so it would kinda only mess up if the inside two were switched
like intake to intake spark on the same rotation
