so, Just a question in general, when do you work on your car?
I'm a late night wrencher.. Generally hanging out in the shop till 5pm close and chit chatting till 7 or 8... and that's when this place comes alive, the music gets louder and get work on my love. we spend the first couple of hours pillow talking and whispering sweet nothings to each other... followed usually with a fight, about something stupid, 'what do you mean i can't stick a bolt there?'....
i enjoy being a late night wrencher though... i find leaving the door open and seeing the truck lights drive down the road while the moon quitely mutters cuss words in my direction to be a bonding experience with my car... but then again, i think i'm nuts?
does anyone elses cars talk to them?
**** the early bird, i just ate him and his worm.

I'm a night-timer too. That's dictated more by schedule than anything. I've had many a late night trying to make my cars run again.
And of course my car talks to me. My old laser and I got into a really bad fight one time, and she got so pissed, she caught fire.

Between beating at the flames with a shoe and about 2 gallons of water (I know, bad idea, but was the only thing available) the flames subsided. It took about two weeks of sweet talking and rim jobs before she would speak to me again.

I don't get to start before 9:30pm and I've got no more than an hour or two so I'm dedicated to day-long projects with help if I've got more than that. Thank God for help around here!

I am usually stuck pulling all nighters, thats when my little helpers are available more (the Deviant Tuning Crew). I also talk to my car. accually my car acts a lot like yours xian. I wouldn't be surprised if my car and yours hang out a lot while I'm gone. we usually fight about the same things as you and your car fight about.
but even though we fight, I love her.

Does all the time count...ask my wife!
I pretty much have to be done by dark during the week or spend all day Saturdays... I can't get a car in my one car garage so I have to work outside.

blackie... working outside blows man, i feel your pain... last year, the first cordova that was rained out, found me wriggling my back against rocks, right next to the garbage cans... flash light till the storm hit and the power wires next door went down causing sparks..
gsx...the all nighters i know... i'm rolling on one since last night now..curses the three bolt. and actually, that's what our last fight was about... i kind of felt a little jealous of all the time my car was spending with yours... <--- jealous.

I don't work on cars. I just drive them into the ground and then sell them already in shambles.

Almost always in the middle of the night. My neighbors love me

. Air compressor going off at 3:00 am is music to my ears. At least now I have a paved driveway, for the last 3 years all my rebuilds / major projects have been in a gravel driveway with nothing over my head. I’m still finding bolts and all kinds of shit I lost years ago!

Most of mine is done between the hours of 5pm and about 11pm in my insulated garage. I too have worked outside before and it is no fun at all. Luckily, I have another vehicle to drive while this one is down.
She and I talk now and again. It's mostly an on and off relationship. When we get into a fight I'm usually the one to walk out. But eventually we kiss and make up. Does anybody else french kiss their car? Mine likes a little slap on the rear from time to time.
