Thinking about getting 3" turbo back for my '90 GSX. Just wondering what you guys think would be a fair offer on this exhaust.

3" mandrel bent turbo back, no brand
Dynomax muffler

2 years old, said it was only used for about 6 months though.

Dynomax = loud in my experiences. Is it stainless or aluminized? New Stainless turbo back system would run you $900+. Used - $450??? I think a lot of that would depend on your negotiating skills, how long he's had it up for sale, and how bad he wants it gone.

I'd say in the 300-400 dollar range. The only thing that bothers me is that it has no flexpipe section. Looks like it may even be a stainless unit.

No flex pipe.... I'm glad you pointed that out, I hadn't even noticed. Tell me if I'm wrong, but don't you have to have a flex pipe?

Normally there is a flex pipe but he probably hasn't seen any trouble because it's a slip together exhaust. This means that it'll have a place to vibrate and flex a little bit but you'll also hear it unless you rig it up so it doesn't rattle. Mine is getting annoying but there's no way in hell that I'm climbing underneath it in this heat.

the 3" press bent exhaust on my car doesn't have a flex pipe and I have seen no ill effects... I also have a similar style DynoMax muffler and I fitted it with a 3" tail section and that quieted it down quite a bit. With the large tip like what is on there it will be louder, mine was.

Im afraid you use the term loud too loosly. That exhaust made me want to puke driving it from metamora and back.

when I first installed the exhaust I had to wear earplugs to keep my sanity just to drive to Bloomington from Peoria.

When I drove from Aurora to Bloomington for the car show I attended and when I drove to Peoria to you cookout spy, It was fine, a little loud, but tolorable.
