I am currently done Modding the GSX (aka. Project Mutant GSX)

I am retiring it's racing jersey and I am going to polish it to a good shine and it will be from now on known and used for a Good street/show piece.

My financial resorses will from now on be funneled into a "Racecar". I am planning to attend Skip Barber School of Racing summer 2006, and will be building a racecar to run in the American Sedan Class.
I am debating on running a Mustang or Camaro Chassis.
anyone one with experience with these two platforms are welcome to comment.

also, setup advise is also welcomed.

I am currently leaning toward the notchback F-body Mustang chassis due to it's lighter weight and better stock handling package.

Of coarse it will be a cage car.

I am thinking of a coilover suspension (or atleast an Eibach Sportline Kit) packaged with IRS and bigger slotted/vented brakes.

I want it to handle high revs so I am also thinking of outfitting it with the newer 4.6 DOHC V-8 destroked (higher revs) and milled deck, dome pistons and H-beam rods (get the compression back from the destroking) with all of the appropriate exhaust, fuel and ignition mods needed.

I was thinking an X-pipe that crosses over and side exits in "chambered exhaust style" for the exhaust.

Nothing I expect to be a straight line killer, but but something that handles like an F-1 car and accelerates well out of the corners.

please keep in mind that I have not recieved my SCCA car setup rule book so I do not know if the current setup thoughts are even legal in that class.

post is now open for constructive critisism, debate and setup advise.
