Well I have money now, and its time to buy and install a clutch for my car, but I'mnot to good with the installing part, so yea. If you know anyone who does it for cheap, or you'll do it, or whatever, just someone to install for cheaper than mitsu would charge me....let me know. I don't have a clutch either, but I'm goig with the ACT2600 and ACT flywheel, I've heard the best with those. Or I'll go with an ACT2600 and whatever flywheel i can get for cheapest...as long as its good. If you know of any deals, or anyone selling one let me know.

What kind of time frame are you in? When would you like to have it done? I'd be willing to do it for some extra cash but I'm kinda slow when working on that sort of thing and I'm just finishing up one of my own.

I could have a whole day to do it, I'm not sure if your thinking like weeks or what, school starts soon so I would only have weekends, and even then I belive next weekend i'm headin to NIU to hang with my girlfriend...but I'm not sure on the days. How much are we talking?

Also I've heard Fidanza flywheels are bad for daily driving, like the revs drop fast or something. But how do you like the flywheel? Also where could I get it resurfaced? How long would it take you to do the clutch?

Kalina machine shop in Peoria blasted, cleaned and resurfaced my flywheel in 2 hours.

Well, I took quite a long time to do mine but I really wasn't concerned about time either. Some things you have to consider:

Hardware-there's more to it than just a clutch kit and flywheel. I had to buy new flywheel bolts with the Fidanza (the aluminums are 4mm thicker in the hub area) but if you buy the ACT you should be fine. I also bought some new Grade 8 bolts from the hardware store for the pressure plate. I didn't like the ones that came in Forced Performance's flywheel bolt kit (and not to mention I stripped out a pressure plate bolt hole) so I got some 30mm long grade 8 12mm head 1.25pitch bolts and they worked alot better.

Clutch pedal-After putting the ACT2600 clutch in there, what little bushing your pedal has left, it's going to loose soon thereafter. The clutch pedal bushings wear out after time and you have to take the pedal down in order to weld the bushings and stiffen it up. This is the point at which I'm stuck right now. Without welding, the clutch will not disengage properly.

Master/Slave cylinders-After time, these can wear out too. With the new, stiffer clutch, it'll make them fail sooner.

Slave cylinder rod-This can help with the adjustment of the rod.

These things can delay your clutch job considerably. You'll probably want to find a car you can borrow no matter who does it because it's going to take longer than a weekend, I can tell you that much.

Hmmm, well I've talked to some people who've have ACT2600 without much problem, but I'll remember things said here. I'm not saying your wrong, but everyone has different experiences.

Really though, how much do you think its going to cost, not including the clutch?
