Well i finally managed to get my car completely reassembled and it started right up. Amazingly everything is good, no leaks and boosts up just fine. A couple problems i have is 1. idle and 2. clutch engagement. I didnt do anything at all to the TB adjustment wise. I did block off the EGR, so maybe thats why its so high? When i fire it up, it goes to about 2k then after a minute or so it slows down to about 1k-1100 rpms. Maybe i need to back the screw out a bit? I didnt know if this would be egr related. Im not getting any surging, just idles a bit higher than it should.

The second issue i have is with the clutch. After the pedal weld and new clutch (spec stage 1) i have no grinds whatsoever in my transmission. But everytime i try to take off by slowly engaging the clutch, the car shudders really bad until its engaged and its fine. Doesnt shake going down the road or changing gears, just when i try to ease into it on taking off. If i pop it and launch the car it doesnt do it. I did have a machine shop resurface my flywheel and they seemed to know what they were doing. Is this normal for break in or is something wrong? It said on the clutch i have 500 miles break in and im only at 100 now.

Another issue i have is my logger doesnt seem to be working when i plug it in. I went over it and made sure it was hooked up right, and it worked fine last time i used it, this wouldnt be an ECU issue would it? I had my caps replaced and i just wanted to be sure that it wont be a cause of not getting any data.

Is the clutch a higher pressure/more agressive kit than what you had on it? It may just take a little higher "stall" if you will, to keep the car from stalling in stop and go traffic.

its a spec stage 1, i think spy has had some of these. Its supposed to be like 27% more holding power than stock, but with a stock feel to it.

Well, I can tell you this that my ACT 2600 with the street disk is quite a different animal than the stock clutch. It's clamping force is considerably heavier and it's much harder to keep it from stalling at low speeds than the stocker. Basically, I have to rev it to over over (probably) 2700 rpms so that it doesn't stall itself. With the stocker you could get by with about 1700 rpms or so.

Haha anythings gonna kick my ass at only 7psi.

On a side note, anyone have an expirence with a logger not receiveing data? I used the palm with MMcd logging software, and it did work fine before i tore the car down.

Well, I'm positive I gave it back to you Dantheman. And I know it was working properly when I gave it back because I used it to log my car.

I know you weren't, just thought that might help jog your memory.

Mine stopped received data at SloPny day. The data port in the palm seems to have gone bad. I plugged in another Palm when I got home it work just fine.
