as i was driving the other night by alternator belt started making a death shreak, my head light lo-beams died, and my water temp sensor climps with the throttle and my interior lights get brighter with the throttle as well. i checked my thermostate and it is opening correctly, and there is no co2 in my coolant so the head gasket is fine.
we narrowed it down to possibly the regulator in the alternator sending too much voltage to the water temp guage and making it climp. but my question is what the hell is going on with my head lights. the turn signals work, the runnign lights work, but the lo-beams won't turn on. i checked the bulbs and they look fine (filliment is still intact) and the head lamp fuse under the hood is not blown. does anyone have any ideas as to what could have shorted out?
